Entergy Provides Free Radio Airtime to Nonprofits
In the spring of 2008, Entergy, owner of the Indian Point Energy Center and a long-time WCBS-880 AM Yankee Radio advertiser, made it possible for five nonprofit groups throughout the Lower Hudson Valley to receive free radio airtime to promote their excellent work during regular season radio broadcasts of New York Yankee games.
The winners were selected from a group of 34 nonprofits that submitted written proposals outlining their respective missions and how, if chosen, the winner would use the free airtime. The submittals were reviewed by a panel from WCBS Radio 880, global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller and Entergy Nuclear.
